You may have noticed America’s #1 morning show, TODAY, has a new and improved website, TODAY.com.
Early last month, I joined fellow bloggers and hostesses Kathie Lee Gifford & Hoda Kotb, for breakfast at 30 Rock to celebrate its unveiling.
In addition to the fresh new design and layout, TODAY.com now offers videos from the morning’s live segments, as well as exclusive online content.
I adore these ladies and am tuned in to TODAY every morning as I start mine, so it was surreal and exciting to be sitting atop the Plaza taking part in the launch.
Kathie Lee kept us entertained of course, questioning, Is there alcohol here? upon arrival. Clearly, we’re kindred spirits. While it wasn’t the first thing I asked, it was certainly the first thing I thought after my early wake-up call and when I learned I’d be talking about what I do each day to feel more glamorous, on camera, for TODAYMoms.

I love how you are a “celebrity” in NYC. Amazing!
I always make my bed in the AM and on occassion my lil guy helps me. But to feel truly “GLAM”: I put on a fancy necklace that’s super GLAM for my “not so glam” job.

Great tips and your right it is important to do something special for yourself. I think as parents we are often guilty of neglecting ourselves due to all of the responsibilities.
You are constantly on the go…I need to consider moving to NYC ha!! It’s definitely a place that I would love to visit. Thanks for sharing these wonderful tips.

What a fun event and great tips! I think taking those few minutes to do your hair or make-up in the morning will give you that little pick me up you need for the rest of the day.

You always go to the best events!! I used to make the bed every single day but then my husband would take a nap right after the bed would be made and he’d leave it a mess….so I gave up. I’ll start making my bed again now

You were fabulous on camera, and those tips were really good! I agree, making up your bed, while such a simple act, does so much to make you feel more organized, put together, and overall in better spirits. On the days when things are just so busy and I don’t get to it (and certainly DH isnt going to), it just feels so blah all around. Not the best start to the day.
Also, TOTALLY agree about the “me time.” Sooo important!!!

It is SO true, making your bed is essential to a great day…at least for me.
I also feel like curled eyelashes (even when I wear no makeup to the gym or store) make me feel like a million bucks- Little curl goes a long way for this girl:)
