ROCKIN’ THE BUMP

Shell, author of Things I Can’t Say, is hosting a fun link-up called Rockin’ the Bump.  I must’ve had too many Loaded Lemonades at Rub tonight to be sharing these but what the hell.

You know you’re in trouble when you’ve gained 20 lbs by 20 weeks (Liz Lange top):

Commence porn star boobs and widening of the nose at 25 weeks (Isabella Oliver top):

No longer showing skin for fear of cracking the camera lens at 30 weeks (DVF top, that I still wear):

No, not triplets, just ready to pop with one Big Bub (Old Navy dress that I burned):

Am I the only one whose nose literally grew 2 sizes?  I covet all those cute little bumps but it just wasn’t in the cards for me.  I was destined to be asked every block if I was having twins or triplets. Motherf*ckers.

It’s cool though, I had a relaxing pregnancy and was carb-loading for a Big Bub birth.

{I was not compensated for this post but I feel like I should be.}

  1. I’m jealous of your porn star boobs!

    I think you rocked it!

Btw- I have that Old Navy dress! :)

  2. Jill, you great throughout!
I hardly took any pregnancy pics because I felt I looked so awful. Kinda regret it now. My nose didn’t grow but I got these prominent skin folds (rolls of fat?) around my neck. It was quite gross. Luckily they went away a week after baby Z was born so I’m assuming it was just a bizarre collection of water weight.

    • Thank you Sam! Well, if you do it again you’ll know to take more pics. Funny enough, I didn’t even realize how big I was until after, which I guess is good. Within two or three days of giving birth I lost 20+lbs. Water was def an issue for me too! xo

  3. Should say ‘you looked great throughout!’

  4. Your bump looks great! I’ve had 3 pregnancies (all boys) & with each one, I never felt sexier, happier, or more beautiful, no matter how heavy I got. Pregnancy is hard on the body, but it’s also so fun and beautiful. Are we (women) ever the lucky ones to be able to experience it. Congratulations and good luck!

  5. Um no your nose looks normal. Mine doubled in size!! These are sooo cute.

  6. You look so fantastic, totally rockin’ the bump! And I love all your cute maternity clothes!

My feet absolutely got bigger, a total tragedy for my pre-kids SATC worthy shoe collection.

  7. I think you looked awesome! There is always a difference from your perception (uncomfortably fat) and how others see you (cute and glowing) so don’t worry. You’re just voicing what we feel.

  8. You look great! So happy! I think my nose was ok, but my belly button will never be the same (which Hubs has pointed out more than once)!

  9. You looked fabulous pregnant like I thought you would, seeing as how you seem to always look fab now! Pregnancies were good for me with the exception of a few pukey-migrainey days. I always made sure I wore adorable clothes to feel as best as possible when enormous! and I liked all the attention :)

  10. You look gorgeous all through out your pregnancy!
My nose grew, and stayed the same after my pregnancies! haha

  11. You look SO great!
My nose got crazy wide when I was PG. Big and wide. I never met or heard of anyone else getting a big nose from pregnancy till now. Have to say I feel a little better about my big prego nose now, thanks!

  12. Aww, you are so beautiful! Love the baby bump!!

  13. I totally think you need to drink loaded lemonades (what are those) more often and write because this is one of my fav of all your posts. Seriously. Can I just say I am so with you. I didn’t get the nose thing only I did gain like 90 pounds. Whatever. It was awesome. :)

  14. Actually am pretty jealous that you actually LOOK pregnant! Lol. I think you look very cute:) I am 33 weeks now and I HATE it when people say “wow you dont even look pregnant” well darn…i feel like i am! thanks! lol….

  15. Yeah, those boobs! Mine are hanging around due to nursing, but I’m gonna miss them big time soon! You look FAB!

  16. I always wanted porn star boobs but those weren’t in the cards for me!

  17. I think you look great!! You had amazing style throughout – which is more than most women can say. And great boobs ;) ! And my nose got reeeaaaly wide too. You aren’t alone!

  18. I love this and you looked great!!

  19. Girl you look fabulous!

  20. Oh my gosh, Jill, you were just the most adorable preggers lady ever!!! You look SO cute. All belly, and nothing more! Loved this lil trip down memory lane!

  21. You look amazing! Love the disclaimer at the end. ;)

  22. haha I pretty much laugh every time I read your blog. you looked good! I head ya though, I was also asked many times if I was having twins… and in hawaii, it’s like a crime not to force-feed a pregnant woman so let’s just say my nose wasn’t the only thing that grew several sizes…

  23. I love it! You wore pregnancy well and you’re rocking that Old Navy dress like it’s nobody’s business! Pow!

  24. What? You’ re so cute! You don’t look huge at all because your legs stayed tiny. This was fun, remembering the bump days, huh?

  25. You look so cute preggers! My nose took over too and my neck turned black!!!

  26. My nose didn’t grow, though I got new “beauty marks” on my face when I was pregnant with Maddie.

I genuinely LOLed at your “porn star boobs” label. :)

  27. You looked adorable. I love pg ladies! My boobs never really grew! WTF?

  28. Wow! You looked fabulous all the way through!

My feet grew (and swelled) during my pregnancy and they never went back. Thanks to my bundle of joy I had to trash all of my pre-pregnancy shoes! :(

    Oh the joys!

  29. You look fabulous! With great clothes to boot :)

  30. You totally should have been compensated for this post as your booby shot was nothing short of spectacular.

  31. This was so funny – love the commentary! I was a monster when pregnant and got asked if I was having triplets by a HILARIOUS guy in an elevator. Just hilarious, a-hole.

  32. You looked great!

  33. Oh gross…you’re so cute. In my picture for Shell’s site I’m a fat as a house and rocking my bon jovi tshirt for a concert. At least Jon came over and rubbed my enormous belly during the show. He was probably afraid I’d sit on him if he didn’t!

    Lots of yummy love,

  34. I am guilty of burning a few maternity outfits too. At the end you just wear the same muu muu everyday and hope it’s the last time you’ll have to put it on.
You can count me in on the gaining 2 sizes, at least.

  35. You look gorgeous and great clothes!!

  36. You’re kidding right? You looked absolutely fabulous! And I also got the twins question – stupid people.

  37. Are you kidding me!? You look absolutely stunning in these pictures! I have a few pictures from when I was pregnant with baby number one – and hardly any pictures when I was pregnant with baby number two. Probably because I was too busy taking care of baby number one! ;)

I thought I looked nice, though. BIG, but nice. I miss the days I could eat ice cream every day and have a perfect excuse to do so…

  38. you looked great! looks like you totally rocked the bump!

  39. You were cute in every stinkin’ pic. How did you do that?

  40. Aww…you look beautiful! Thanks for sharing…and I laughed out loud…as you well should be compensated for this post..hahaha.
You were a gorg preggers lady despite what you think.
    What a fun post.
