NIKE TRAINING CLUB {WEEK 4}

I’m one month into my Nike Training Club challenge!

It was a particularly difficult week to find time to work out with hurricane preparations and traveling but because Nike Training Club is right on my iPhone, there are no excuses. I met my goal of 3 runs and 3 Nike Training Club workouts, one of which I completed on the floor of a hotel room before a wedding!

Last week, I mentioned that I’m feeling much stronger and not laboring as much through the workouts. Time flies by when I do the 15-minute “Get-Focused” area-specific workouts that I love and I’m now starting to notice a change in my body. I’m definitely firming up, although I’m not seeing much movement on the scale yet, which is typical for me, especially after not having worked out for a while.

This week I’m looking to capitalize on my momentum and am aiming for 4 runs and 4 Nike Training Club workouts since the weather is supposed to be gorgeous.

What are your fitness goals for the week? Have you downloaded the app and entered the Make Yourself Sweepstakes for a chance to win an iPad2 and Nike gear? Any good music recommendations for my playlist?

The Nike Training Club App is a full-body functional training app designed for you to make yourself whatever you want to be. Whether you’re looking to get lean, toned, or strong, NTC takes every workout to the next level. Download it here.

  1. Congrats on 3 weeks of progress. I always find that the two week point is where I hit my wall. Anything past that point, and I know I’m good.

    I think the fact that you see yourself firming up is GREAT! Sometimes the scale is slow to move (or won’t move at all for that matter) because muscle is forming, and we all know that weighs more than fat.

    So excited for you! Keep up the great work!!!!

  12. Uhm, if I can get my bod to look like any of the girls in that ad, then I’ll gladly participate :p That’s awesome, Jill! Go you! And I’m impressed you even managed to get in a workout before a wedding… that’s some serious dedication!

    I’m proud of myself. After battling all these tummy issues, I’ve managed to get back into the swing of things and have reintroduced Bikram and meditation into my life again. I’d also like to continue to do more walking (just have never been much of a runner, personally) and am sticking to a strict diet. That part hasn’t been fun, but it’s helping, so I guess that’s something :)

    That’s awesome! I’m really inconsistent with my workout and this post is definitely an inspiration.

  14. You’re doing great! My goal for the week is to kiss these injuries goodbye, so I can get back on track with my marathon training!

  15. This is so great! Isn’t it lovely when you start to see results and the workouts aren’t kicking your ass as much? LOL. I only got one workout in last week (and one run in the week before), so this week I’m planning on going back to my 3-4 times a week workout.
