This past weekend I attended SheStreams 2011, an annual social media conference hosted by Maria Bailey of BSM Media.
The 2-day event was conveniently located at the Crowne Plaza, Times Square, only a few subway stops away.
It was great catching up with blogger friends, especially those from out of town and meeting new people. I was also particularly inspired by the many panels on vlogging and live streaming and already have some ideas in motion for video content that I think you’ll find fun and informative. Now if I can only curb my urge to go all “Heidi Montag” after seeing myself on camera, I’ll be set. But that’s another story.

Those bow heels are so cute! I stared at them for a few minutes drooling. haha
Oh, and I use a free editing program called picnik, and then I upgrade to the premium for $20 per year. I then play a little with the contrast, but I also add things like “polaroid” and “yellow fade” to get that vintagy look. I love the program! Totally recommend it!

Well, these are from our TJMaxx/Marshalls segment on The View. I ended up buying them from the stylist. I didn’t actually go to the store and get them so I can’t verify if they ever were actually sold in stores

Glad to hear the conference was good…. omg, i know vlogging is so huge these days. I wanna get into it so bad, but it requires so much work (ie, getting cute for the camera), when the reality is that i can type a blog post wearing my raggedy old pj’s, no makeup, head scarf, glasses (back in the day when I wore them), and no one is the wiser. LOL!!!
