My week ended on high note with a Core Fusion class at Exhale Spa and lunch atop the Gansevoort Hotel Park Avenue, thanks to Lady Foot Locker, who hosted a fabulous fitness/style event for Glam Media publishers.
It was a great opportunity to get my workout in, network, and learn more about Lady Foot Locker’s complete line of active-wear for women. Pre-Glamamom days, I ran 3 New York City Marathons and countless other races, so Lady Foot Locker has always been my go-to– not only for running sneakers but comfortable gear to get around in. I’m happy to learn they’re always expanding their product offerings while keeping both fashion and function in mind.
Prior to class, we were styled in super cute outfits (my favorite form of motivation) representing some of the brands Lady Foot Locker carries including: an Actra Space Dye Racer Back Tank, Adidas Climalite Capris, Nike Brasilia 5 Gymsacks, Nike Pro Core Sports Bras, and ASICS Gel-Blurr33 Running Sneakers. Then we sweat it out in a Core Fusion toning class, which I’d been dying to try given its promise to strengthen the core, my weakness prior to even giving birth. The moves are low-impact and combine yoga, Pilates, and stretching using a ballet barre and stretching rope but let me tell you, I was sore before the class even ended and have been popping pain reliever like candy ever since!
I’m a glutton for punishment though and can’t wait to do another class, in a cute outfit, of course.

And good for you for having those marathons under your belt! I’ve done a couple of 5ks, but can’t imagine doing a full marathon!

Wow, you’ve ran 3 NYC marathons?!?! Wowsa! That’s super awesome. Hope you’re less sore this week, but the pain will yield fabulous results. I love that top — gotta snag me one of those for my workouts.

Cute clothes make all the difference in how I feel about my workout. Running in a cotton tshirt that I got for signing up for a credit card? I don’t think so.
