BEAUTY 411: BURBERRY BODY {REVIEW}

Have you seen the sultry campaign for the new BURBERRY BODY fragrance featuring model and Transformers: Dark of the Moon star Rosie Huntington-Whiteley?

Va va voom!

Thanks to BURBERRY and Glam Media, I received a bottle to try out.

The first thing I noticed about BURBERRY BODY when I opened the box is its gorgeous packaging. Not just the sleek and elegant glass bottle with BURBERRY’S signature plaid emblem on the cap, but all the layers of packaging. It could easily make a lovely holiday gift if you know the type of scent your recipient favors and it looks stunning on display.

BURBERRY BODY’S scent is marketed as a mixture of peach, freesia, iris, rose and green absinthe, which sounds floral and sweet to me but I find the scent sharp, spicy and musky, which I much prefer in cooler temperatures.  It mixes really well with the crisp autumn weather we’re enjoying in New York right now and I can see myself wearing it all winter long.

It hasn’t yet turned me into Rosie Huntington-Whiteley and I’m still wearing clothes under my trench but both Leo and Sebastian have noticed my new scent and approve.

BURBERRY invites you to discover the new fragrance for women. BURBERRY BODY is a feminine and sensual floral woody fragrance with an eclectic combination of luxurious, refined notes. The scent has top notes of fresh green absinthe, illuminating elegant peach and refined freesia. The floral bouquet of natural rose absolute and iris blends gently with subtle warm tones of sandalwood to form the heart notes. Woody cashmeran, creamy vanilla, sensual amber and musk compose the base notes of this unique and seductive fragrance.

    Ok, Rosie Huntington-Whiteley looks gorgeous in this ad.
    I definitely have to try this – i dont have a signature scent now and still in the process of trying to figure that out!

  2. Ha… so funny! I’ve been trying out so many perfumes lately, but can’t find one that I love more than Chance by Chanel. I’ve been wearing it for about 7 years now and I love it. Sometimes I’ll switch to something else, but then go right back to Chanel. I’ve gotta check out Burberry Body. If Sebastian approves, it’s gotta be good.

    I’ve been hooked on D+G Light Blue for so long, but I have tried the Burberry scent and really liked it. It’s nice and light :)
