Did you know today is National Hat Day?
The origin of the “holiday” is unknown but rumor has it, it was merely started by hat enthusiasts for no other reason but to celebrate their favorite caps. Works for me. Unfortunately, it’s not (yet) recognized as a federal holiday. Boo!
I suspect with the bone-chilling weather we’re experiencing in the northeast that just about everyone venturing outside is donning one, if not for fashion, then for function.

Oh I absolutely have a favourite hat worth celebrating! Actually, I have several & I’m torn between my burgundy felt fedora, or my brown faux-fur cossack hat – can I have two favourites?
And I think “world hat day” should be declared a global holiday for us hat enthusiasts all over the world!
