Savvy entertainers know the internationally renowned designer Michael Aram for his meticulously crafted serving and table top pieces, traditionally used for food.
For his new Molten Collection, which embodies the casual yet elegant entertaining style of today, I was offered the opportunity to style 3 pieces in fun, less conventional ways, that show off my personal aesthetic. Since apartment/small space living requires creative solutions anyway, I knew I was up for the challenge.
The hand-craftsmanship celebrated in this collection is seen through the subtle changes in beading as each piece is made by a craftsman dropping individual welds along the edge of the stainless-steel objects creating little works of art. Rather than hide them away as storage, I knew I wanted to display each piece.
New Molten Double Mini Snack Dishes:
Ultimately, I decided to showcase the new Molten pieces as (1) a bedside caddy for my husband, (2) a key holder on an entry-way chest, and (3) a soap dish in a guest bathroom.
What do you think? Other than your table, where would you use these gorgeous dishes? I really love the idea of using them for visible storage and think many of the pieces make great Father’s Day gifts. We have an abundance of keys, coins, cuff links, collar stays, and other miscellaneous items that I’m thrilled have found a pretty little home.
June has been dubbed “Molten Month,” and Michael Aram is highlighting the new Molten Collection with a free gift (the New Molten Mini Frame) with any Michael Aram purchases over $150. The gift with purchase promotion is available online at michaelaram.com, as well as in-store.
There’s also the opportunity to win pieces through the “My Perfect Dinner Party” Pinterest contest through June 28th. One winner is being selected each Friday starting June 15th:

LOVE how you styled the pieces. I actually love using pieces like that to hold my jewelry, which can be found everywhere in the apartment, so when I have pretty little dishes to hold them, 1) I wouldn’t lose them 2) it would make the whole apartment every prettier.
Oh, and P.S. your apartment is drool-worthy.

I also considered using for jewelry but I don’t have a dresser, everything is behind closed doors so then I wouldn’t get to show off the pretty pieces
But I agree little dishes and bowls make GREAT bauble storage!
Hello Jill,
They look great!
I love them all.
Cheers,
SSM
