Phew! I am so relieved this week is over!
Between the actual BlogHer conference, surrounding activities, and the Olympics, I am completely wiped out. In fact, I came down with a head cold before BlogHer even officially began. BOO! Were you here?! As much as I tried to be choosy about how I spent my time, my compromised, swollen body just wouldn’t cooperate.
I did manage to be fabulous with the Glam Network, Jeanine Edwards, editor of MOMfinds, Rene Syler of Good Enough Mother, and Rebecca Coleman of Cooking With My Kid on Wednesday night at Morandi before joining them the following morning at Soho House for a Tend publisher panel with brands like P&G, Johnson & Johnson, H&M, Kimberly-Clark, and Philips.
Glam’s fashion editor, Nola Weinstein, graciously snapped these photos of me in the Meatpacking District afterwards. I’m a huge Isabella Oliver fan. These wrap dresses are life savers. The quality is amazing and they’re the perfect balance of conservative/professional and fashionable. I also wore Isabella Oliver (via Gilt) to the dinner Wednesday. I’m quite confident I was the most colorful thing in the restaurant.
Other highlights of the week included a mani/pedi party with Tend and Starbucks, and a night on Broadway with Pampers, who I recently joined as a Baby Board ambassador!
Meanwhile, President Obama was addressing BlogHer attendees:
Like every father, I think about the role models that are out there for my daughters. The fact that Sasha and Malia can go to places like BlogHer and find thousands of women who are writing about subjects from health to family and food and politics and careers, means a lot to me and Michelle.
GAH! So bummed I missed it. I only stopped into the conference Friday morning, walked the Expo, had lunch, and retreated home to mope about my sore throat for the rest of the weekend.
It was announced BlogHer will be in Chicago next year. Great city. A definite maybe.
Have a glamorous week!

You look BEAUTIFUL…love love love that blue and yellow pairing…REALLY close now sister. How did potty training end up? We are day 4 accident free…BUT, I have to ask every 25 or 30 minutes and even when he says no, I put him on the potty half the time. I wouldn’t say we are perfectly trained…BUT, diapers seem to be a distant memory. I am doing pull up at night- usually dry although last two days there was maybe 1 pee in there…..small victories….Yahoo!!!! Sorry is that TMI for a blog comment?
Um, Chicago..really? I would SO be into that…I have longed to visit that city for ages and an excuse like a conference would be fabulous!!! Although you know, we really have to meet in person before then.
All for now.

Thank you Darling! SO happy to read the potty training is going well. Same here. Day 1 was so awful when we emailed I was ready to throw in the towel but as soon as he got hip to the candy/sticker rewards, he wants to go all the time. We’re being a little lax and letting him wear pull ups, especially when we go out but when he has to go, he asks, so I know he’ll be ready for school in Sept.
Feel well and enjoy your sleep while you can
Next BlogHer we’ll have 11 month olds! Goodness.

Oh no, you missed the president’s address? But how cool that he had kind words to say about it. And I’m sorry to hear that you caught a cold, too! I hope you’re feeling better now. You looked fabulous in the azure ensemble!

It’s wonderful to meet people in real life but all the stars have to align. I’m not a big believer in spending a ton of money traveling to conferences unless being sponsored or need a little vacay bc it’s so difficult to recoup the investment. It’s my experience that brands that sponsor these conferences are not interested in individual long-term blogger relationships. Rather, they’re looking to shake hands with as many bloggers as possible and pitch their products. Now fashion week, that’s a different story
You are SO stylish and gorgeous!!! I’m in love with the pops of yellow that you accessorized with. I loved seeing you at Pampers last week and am soooo beside myself with excitement that you’re on the board!!! xo
