Last week I introduced BB Creams, the latest trend in beauty, and the brand new L’Oreal Paris Youth Code BB Cream offering 5 complex-perfecting benefits in a single step.
I couldn’t wait to get my hands on it since L’Oreal makes lofty claims that it instantly evens skin tone, illuminates, perfects, moisturizes, and protects the skin. It also has built-in SPF 15 to prevent future damage and discoloration. Those are amazing benefits for a retail price of $16.99.
Well, I’ve been using it for 4 consecutive days now and I have to say I’m very impressed. It’s by far the best skincare product I’ve used in this price range.
L’Oreal Paris Youth Code BB Cream is currently available in 2 shades (“Light” & “Medium”) that adapt to nearly every skin tone and I’m using “Light.”
It’s a lighter shade than my normal tinted moisturizer but it really does illuminate the skin and gives me a dewy complexion. I’m used to a more matte look but I really like this product because it illuminates without making me look or feel greasy. It smells great, more like a moisturizer than foundation/makeup, goes on smooth, and feels light.
Because the color is a slightly paler than what I’m used to, I can still see the redness of some broken blood vessels and discoloration but that’s easy to correct. I typically layer on under-eye concealer, some blemish corrector, and bronzing powder and I don’t think you would notice that I’m wearing much of anything at all. I also appreciate that the formula has SPF in it. Double-duty is a must for me.
Overall, I’m really pleased with the look and feel, price point, and generous amount. I definitely recommend you try it. Similar products I’ve used start at $40+ so it’s exciting to see such a great beauty cream at an accessible, mass-market price point.
Give it a try and let me know what you think!
Youth Code BB Cream Illuminator instantly evens, illuminates, perfects, moisturizes, and protects skin. In one week, tone and texture are improved and skin is healthier looking.
