Is it too early to talk holiday? Well, for the toy industry and parent bloggers, ‘tis the season!
I typically publish my Holiday Gift Guides late November/early December but I know that’s last minute for the ambitious set out there so this year I’m making an effort to pass along “Top Picks” lists as soon as they come along.
Time To Play Magazine had its 2012 Holiday Showcase last week but it was a sad, drizzly day and I didn’t want to take Luke out. You can find its newly released Holiday 2012 Most Wanted Toys List here (Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles are back!).
This past weekend though, Bubba and I had a “Playdate in the City” at 620 Loft and Garden in Rock Center hosted by Tollytots, maker of kids’ favorite toys including My First Disney Princess, Graco, Fisher Price, Rubik’s, Safety 1st and Baby Genius, to benefit Operation Smile and for a sneak peak at its hottest holiday toys picks:
Sebastian got to take home Baby Genius’ Be-a-Star Sing-Along Juke Box and Sing-Along School Bus, and My First Rubik’s Cube. They’re all a major hit, the jukebox being the clear winner. He literally sits, listens, and sings-along to all the different song options. It’s adorable.
Oh, and the terrace and views from 620 Loft and Garden overlooking Fifth Avenue are spectacular! That’s St. Patrick’s Cathedral under construction in the background. Bubba earnestly asked if he could go swimming:
