For me, this is the most wonderful time of year. Jacket weather, jack-o-lanterns, pumpkin pie, pumpkin spiced lattes, fresh picked apples, apple cider, costumes, candy corn, candy apples, and more candy. Did I mention candy?

Halloween preparations are underway here at Chez Glamamom. Bubba's decided on his costume, we've picked and carved our pumpkins, and we've been passing the days celebrating the season with various parties and harvest activities.

We spent Columbus Day weekend on Long Island with friends and a day out east at the farms taking in the fresh crisp air and loading up on local goodies. I hadn't seen my besties since spring in Boston so it was a mini reunion of sorts with two new babies and these hoodlums:

I know there's no sense in wishing since the chances are slim to none but GAH! I wish my girls lived closer...like on same block. There's something so magical when we all get together. Comfort like family. At least we have our annual Christmas dinner to look forward to.

We also attended Target's Halloween "Spooktacular" hosted by Punky Brewster, I mean Soleil Moon Frye, to preview their fall/Halloween merchandise. It was a real trip meeting Soleil. I asked if she minded me telling her how much I loved Punky Brewster as a kid and she was really sweet about it explaining how Punky is still very near and dear to her heart.

The party, which included pumpkin decorating and trick-o-treating, was held in Target's showroom in their garment district headquarters. The room was completely decked out and beautifully showcased Target's affordable decorations, food, and costumes. It's amazing how little it costs to trick out your home. I'm tossing around the idea of a Halloween dinner party. The table setting options really caught my eye:

It's TBD if Leo and I are doing anything this year. WOMP, I know. I used to LIVE for dressing up but between picking out costumes for my 3 boys and their booming social calendars, I feel kinda wiped.

Are you all set for Halloween? Dressing up this year?
