Glamamom, Michael Kormos Photography Maternity Photo Shoot

This weekend I had a maternity photo shoot with the lovely and talented baby, family & maternity photographer Michael Kormos and his wife/photography assistant Sophie, in their gorg new Flatiron studio.

While Leo {sporadically} snapped pics of me pregnant with Bubba, I regretfully didn’t have professional maternity photos taken so I’m really grateful to have the opportunity to work with Michael and Sophie, who could not be more professional and comfortable to shoot with. Their portfolio of maternity work is breathtaking (that’s Sophie, pregnant with their second child, in several of the photos) and Michael and I became fast friends when he casually remarked how easy it will be to Photoshop-out my double-chin after I whined about it.

Prior to the shoot, I browsed Pinterest for inspiration and knew I wanted a natural, ethereal look, so I chose to wear the Grace Dress by Rosie Pope Maternity, which has an empire waist with pleats and deep v-neck of embroidered flowers. I had my hair blown pin-straight and kept my makeup simple with just a bronze eye and mascara, and spray tan from Gotham Glow.

I cannot wait to see the final results.  Stay tuned!

Mommas, did you document your blossoming bellies?

If you’re linking up with #MondayMingle this week, you’ll be entered to win one of my summer hair care essentials, After Sun Daily Mask from Fekkai.

Have a glamorous week!

Ooooo…can’t wait to see the actual pictures!! I never did have any pregnancy pictures done professionally, but I did blog my fashion adventures during my 2nd pregnancy!

Can’t wait to see the final photos!! I, too, didn’t have professional photos the first time around and I regret it. Everything happened so quickly and I was sick of my own likeness — in the 6 months prior to pregnancy I had professional engagement photos, bachelorette party photos AND wedding photos. But next time, for sure!

I’m sure they will be amazing. Best thing I did when I was pregnant with my last was the professional maternity photos. I love them and looking at them (although I remind myself daily how HUGE I was ) makes me so happy.

beautiful shots….i went for the same kind of look…really simple, not much makeup…I am featuring a sneak peak on my FB page later today…but my shots turned out really nice…on the beach…I haven’t gotten all of them yet..but so far I am happy:) It only takes ONE as I say whenever I have a shoot with the little man….as I said we did beach ones and he was in the water within 10 minutes…jeans soaked! BOYS!

Hope you are feeling well…you are certainly looking lovely lady

I did them with my second one and was so happy I did! Sadly, I failed again on the third but at least I have one good set of photos of me prego. It really makes such a difference when looking back!

Wow, I can already tell that’s gonna make for some amazing photos! The room is gorge with all the light colors and pop of turquoise.

Love the shot!! Can’t wait to see the rest.

I didn’t take any with my first pregnancy. I have a shoot scheduled with this little bundle. Let’s hope she stays put long enough to get it done!

You look gorg! Love the dress and the photo. Can’t wait to see more! I didn’t take many prego picks with either of my girls, but I’m kind of wishing I did. Loving the ethereal vibe!

I saw a really cute maternity shoot on Pinterest that was basically the momma shopping the aisles of a grocery store for foods that pregnant women crave. There was one shot of her sitting on the floor digging into a pint of ice cream. So cute and so right up my alley! Wish I had thought of it!

Omigosh, i hope no one thinks that my crappy behind-the-scenes shot was the actual maternity portrait, lol. So excited for you to share the gorgeous portraits that Michael captured. The dress was stunning, and you were indeed glowing galore!!! So great to finally meet you, and you were even more awesome than I’d imagined. :)

How exciting to have profession maternity photos! I didn’t have anything like that just whatever snaps shots happened to be taken during that time (I wasn’t glowing like some women do). Sounds like yours are going to beautiful. Can’t wait to see them.

Jill you look fabulous!I never had any pics done, but I think there are plenty of things I will do differently when I am preggers again. Love the dress and I don’t see any double chin – guapisima!

I can’t wait to see these photos Jill! My colleague who just had her 3rd baby has never had any of these photos taken. I think if she tries for a 4th since she’s got 3 boys now….she probably will do this!
