This afternoon I had lunch at The Green Table in Chelsea Market (mmm, that grilled cheese!) with my uber-talented friend, Kristan Serafino.  We took some photos over coffee and what do you know, she’s even fabulous at that.  Kristan doesn’t brag, so I’ll do it for her: she’s a sought-after, A-list celebrity hairstylist that writes a must-read beauty blog Serafino Says.  She also happens to be one of the sweetest and most supportive people I’ve met in the industry.  Thank you for the glam pics Kristan!  XOXO

I posted one of these pics to Facebook and another friend asked if I dress up regularly and if I stage photo shoots.  The answer to both is no.  I make an effort to look put together for meetings and events, which I typically schedule several times a week.  That’s my inspiration, along with this blog and living up to the name “Glamamom.”  Otherwise, I’m quite casual, which I think my Mode Monday posts reflect lately.  I know how hard it is for moms to find the time and motivation to get made up each day, especially in the winter but as another friend pointed out, it’s just as easy to put on a cute outfit as it is a frumpy one.  So find your inspiration mamas, whether it’s a new lipstick or DIY manicure.  Finding time for yourself is part of a healthy, balanced lifestyle.

On a related note, Kate from The Shopping Mama graciously featured me on her site this week with a Q&A about my style inspiration and favorite retailers.  You can read her interview here.

Have a glamorous week!

You look gorgeous, from your chic shades to your glossy hair and fun polka dots. As a work at home mom I always stress the significance of getting ready on a daily basis. It really does change the way you feel and I believe, helps you get more accomplished too.

You can dress casually and still look well put-together and good enough to take a few pics of yourself. It’s not that serious to have to stage photo shoots (although, I guess some people do it). But still… you look fab. And those photos… lovely!

This outfit is so wonderful that I basically cannot even look at you. Hello magazine spread!

And ugh, that little Pashli. It might be love at first sight.

I love love love everything about this look, but the eyeglass frames are the icing on the cake! It’s inspiring to see someone looking awesome in their cold weather gear. Winter fashion can sometimes be a drag, but you found ways to make it fun. (great photos too!)
