Did you ring in 2012 with a night on the town or snuggled up by the fire?

I guess you can say we had the best of both worlds dining out with friends and family then hosting a nightcap at our place complete with board games and bubbly.

I’d hoped to write a quick 2011 recap like last year but the time got away from me. My sister-in-law and nephew are in town from Chicago and we’ve been keeping the boys busy. But I want to mention how endlessly grateful I am for you dear readers, a very real community of support and inspiration for me. This little blog has been the vehicle for some very big opportunities, one of which is Mode Monday, my partnership with Nicole and Kristin, two of the most collaborative and generous people I’ve met in the blogosphere.

It takes a lot for me to put myself out here. I’m not a size 2 (or 4 or 6) and sometimes it feels like a minor miracle that I’m able to persuade my friends and fam to take pictures of me for each week’s post. But it’s been immensely entertaining and hugely inspiring to challenge myself and the fact that I’ve met so many others that make the time for themselves and are willing to share their inspiration is icing on the cake.

I say we make taking care of ourselves, mind, body, and spirit, an even bigger priority in 2012. Who’s with me?

One participant in the linky this week will win cosmetics from Beauty Addicts.

Update: The winner is #1, Mimi!

I’m also linking up with The Pleated Poppy, Real Momma Style.

“Monday Mingle” is a weekly fashion/style link-up rotated between Momtrends, BonBon Rose Girls, and Glamamom. For sponsorship options, contact me ( for details.

Haha, the comment above shows that while typing my 3 year old daughter woke up and I was distracted and obviously didn’t re read. You can delete it since it sounds like a crazy person wrote it!

It’s supposed to say – it’s nice to see other moms celebrate how they look.

Well, you’d be a 4 or a 6 in the jeans I road test. They have vanity sizing! But on to the note about 2012. I’m excited for everything in our future. You are a fab businesswoman and partner is style-related crimes. cheers!

Ahhh, that tangerine dress is just so amazing on you…
Love all the looks…and thank you for putting yourself out there…. I feel the same most days…plus the begging for the hubs or ANYONE to take my photos sometimes has me wanting to throw in the towel…lol. But think about how many women/moms you inspire with you incredible style=worth it!
Although now that I have added video to my blog as well…I have to really start handing out back rub certificates or something…the usual “begging” is not going to suffice, lol.

I’m so with you about taking care of yourself!! And that’s one of the reasons that I don’t do as many outfit posts as I’d like, because I feel stupid asking ppl to take pictures of me. But it’s so impressive that you do it and believe me you look amazing and inspiring and definitely in size 4-6 range so whatever you’re doing…it’s working!

And anyway we’d much rather see real women who look great then lanky starving teenagers!!

Who cares about clothing sizes…it’s all about the way you present yourself and confidence. And you look amazing, mama! Can’t wait to see what 2012 will bring!!

JILL… Happy New Year love! Can’t wait to see you in person to give you a 2012 hug! I’m so glad your family and friends photograph you every week as well because I get so much fashion inspiration from you. You’re the reason I started taking pics of myself and linking up with Mode Monday. (Psss: sometimes I even come back to your post when I have an outfit in mind and I’m like, “I think this is the way Jill paired it.” LOL.)

Seriously though, looking back at all your pics, you had a GREAT year, fashion-wise. Cheers to that! Can’t wait to see what 2012 brings for Glamamom!

WOW!!! I just found this site and you are challenging me to step up my fashion game. I love your style and I had to laugh about the fact that it is hard to get someone to take your picture everyday. I know blogging can have its challenges.
Will be following from now on to see what 2012 holds for us all.

Happy New Year Jill! Long time no chat I hope all is well. I think in all of your outfit posts you look fantastic. It really doesn’t matter how tall, how slim, how curvy you are, it’s a matter of can you pull it off and does the outfit suit you. All the best to you in 2012 and another successful year for Glamamom :)
