Nike Training Club App {Week 5}

I can’t believe it’s been over a month since I started the Nike Training Club app workouts.

It was deep summer when I began toying with the app, now the season is turning and I’m no longer worried about squeezing into an itzy bitzy teeny weeny bathing suit but working off the inevitable pumpkin spice lattes and getting into fighting shape for a trashy Halloween costume.

The app has been an invaluable enhancement to my runs and I can honestly see myself sticking to these workouts for a long time to come.

My goal this past week was to do 4 runs and 4 workouts, which I completed. My runs have gotten progressively longer and I estimate I’m running about 4-5 miles each run. The scale is not being supportive but I feel great, albeit sore, and my clothes are fitting better. Most importantly, I’m feeling confident and good enough to start doing more NY Road Runner’s Club races and really embrace fall’s perfect running weather.

    Man, sticking to workouts is hard. But if we want to be EXTRAORDINARY and GREAT in life, we have to do things most other people won’t do. And that’s exercise to the point of looking great.

    That’s why I’m about to go do some pushups right after this.

    Good for you!!!
    Summer is the WORST for me to get in shape. I have issues with ahem…boardwalk food….ahem.
    But when I dropped 65+ lbs in 2000, I did it in the fall. So I KNOW I can do it.

    I’m gonna check that app out. The thought that I USE to be able to run 8+ miles and now barely run to the fridge is super depressing. Thanks for the inspiration!

    Sounds like a great app! This week I am mixing it up with running, core fusion, and I ran into my old trainer at the gym this morning and decided to get back into some personal training for the fall.

    I was searching for a workout plan using this app. So you are doing 4 workouts from the app and 4 runs/cardio a weeek?
