Happy Monday! Hope you had a wonderful Mother’s Day. I was fortunate to spend the weekend surrounded by my boys, celebrating the beautiful women in my life, and reflecting on the crazy journey of motherhood. Being a mom is the hardest but best and most exciting thing I’ve ever done. I can’t help but love an occasion devoted to celebrating it.

I’m jumping on the floral trend this week. We’ve had some amazing spring weather here in New York and I’m enjoying every minute of it before it becomes unbearably hot. I was wearing this outfit on Friday to attend a wine and cheese mom’s night out hosted by Mommy Shorts and UrbanSitter but it was such a warm evening that the jacket was too much.

Saturday afternoon Sebastian and I enjoyed a private tour of the Central Park Zoo courtesy of UGG Australia. They have an adorable summer children’s line and invited us to have a look and let the kids test it out. Cute and comfy so check it out if you have little ones.

If you’re linking up #MondayMingle, welcome! One participant this week will win the Loco Stripe Wrap scarf from Echo.

Have a glamorous week!

There’s no better motivation to get out for a run than the gorgeous weather we’re experiencing here in NYC, a great playlist (currently listening to the David Guetta channel on Pandora), and stylish workout gear!

As a life-long runner, I really appreciate the evolution of activewear towards lifestyle-wear with a focus on comfort, versatility, and functionality.

As a busy mom of 4, it’s not surprising that Heidi Klum is back again with a new collection for New Balance designed to not only make you look good while working out, but also feel great doing it. A collision of sport and fashion, HKNB has moisture-wicking technologies in its performance clothing, while offering lifestyle pieces that can be layered and worn inconspicuously when you’re not working out.

The collection’s palette is a mix of neon, brights, and neutrals that are easily mixed and matched, and each piece has special little details like reflective strips and zip pockets. I really like the range of clothing I reviewed including the hoodie, tank, and capris shown above and a pair of ankle tights not shown. They’re all fitted and flattering with ruching and a mix of color or texture.

Hopefully the HKNB pieces will be as motivating for you as they have been for me!

If you pull the trigger on anything, be sure to show off your New Balance Heidi Klum looks via Twitter or Instagram using the #HKNB hashtag.

It’s week 3 of my Style Scout challenge with T.J. Maxx (you can check out week 1 here and week 2 here) and I’m officially a convert! If you’ve been following along on Instagram, I’ve been making regular trips to the T.J. Maxx store in Chelsea and spotting some ridiculous deals on designer clothes and accessories that I would normally pay full price for. It’s a bummer I can’t list the brand names because it’s really surprising what labels I’ve found and I do love my labels!

This week I hope it’s obvious that the prompt is black and white, a classic but reinvented for spring with a dash of pastel. Everything I am wearing– the earrings, blouse, blazer, jeans, cocktail ring, cuff, and clutch– except for the heels, are from T.J. Maxx. A blazer and jeans is my go-to so I was thrilled to find a classic black & white jacket and of course these pastel jeans (last seen here). Leo snapped these photos of me on our way to Glam Media’s Foodie Top 100 Restaurants Awards. To honor the restaurants and their chefs, Glam commissioned five artists to create original food-inspired art for the reception that took place right in our ‘hood. It was a good time and I felt right on trend!

You can share your own fabulous T.J. Maxx finds via Twitter, Instagram or Facebook with the designer and price of your score with the hashtag #maxxstyle to be entered to win weekly gift cards in the Maxx Style Contest! Read here for official rules.

Our MaxxStyle Scouts are making the latest trends their own, and sharing tips for ways to express yourself through fashion. You never know what you’ll find at TJ’s – the possibilities to express your personal style are endless.

Kickin’ It With Stride Rite {Sponsored}

Stride Rite petite Parade Fall 2013 Runway Presentation

petiteParade hosted its fourth edition of Kids Fashion Week at Industria Superstudio here in New York last month in collaboration with Condé Nast’s junior fashion magazine, VOGUE bambini.  The two-day kids fashion event is the most anticipated and acclaimed in the children’s wear market showcasing the latest fashions and trends from all over the world.

Stride Rite Children’s Group closed the show this season with a fall runway presentation of its brands including: Stride Rite, Sperry Top-Sider Kids, Keds Kids, and Saucony Kids.

Styled by Jennifer Smith (formerly of Cookie Magazine), the petite models strutted their little stuff to the haute-beats of DJ Fulano wearing suits from Avalon Kids, dresses from Tocca, sportswear from American Apparel, and denim from Lauren Henry.  The footwear ranged from preppy Sperry Top-Siders and Keds in unexpected colors and prints to Saucony’s bold-color sneakers to Stride Rite’s classic fall boots and Star Wars Lightsaber sneakers. Here are some of the highlights:

In November, Stride Rite will release the “Medallion Collection” of carefully-crafted, premium footwear for girls and boys featuring unique, sophisticated details and rich colors in honor of its history and in anticipation of its 95th Anniversary.  Here’s a peek at the “Roslin” boot:

I was also excited to learn that Saucony makes extra wide sneakers.  We’ve been pretty limited in the shoe department because of Sebastian’s width but I ordered him this pair when I got home from the show and he’s been rocking them comfortably ever since!

Stride Rite continues to push the envelope offering footwear both kids and moms love.  While its baby line is its core, the company is continually providing more options for children as they mature from toddlers to preschoolers, and beyond.

Happy Monday Ladies! Hope everyone had a wonderful holiday weekend. Easter was awfully early this year but it’s sort of nice to have it out of the way and the weather in NY this week has been pretty mild. We almost managed the entire holiday without rain, which meant a nice drive out to my parents on Long Island and a proper Easter egg hunt.

I took an obscene amount of photos of the kids and will edit them quickly for a second post. Sebastian is at that perfect age and enjoying holiday festivities to the fullest. The excitement and joy is just beyond. Lucas had no idea what was going on of course but looked completely adorable in his bunny pjs and powder blue cable knit one-piece.

Minnie Rose sent me this gorgeous cashmere shawl and tank which was just perfect for the occasion. I couldn’t resist pairing it with more pastel. ‘Tis the season!

Have a glamorous week.

Spring Trend Alert | Floral {Sponsored}

Floral Jeans Trend

As the saying goes, “April showers bring May flowers” and this Spring the floral trend is in full bloom! I particularly like printed floral jeans since jeans are the most important staple in my daytime wardrobe. It’s a good season to be a jeans wearer since there are so many on-trend variations to mix things up.

Floral prints make a bold statement all on their own so the easiest way to incorporate the trend into your look is to keep the rest simple. Solid tees, tanks, blazers, and button downs let the floral print stand out. I’d add a heel or a wedge to go from day to night:

It’s week 2 of my Style Scout challenge with T.J. Maxx (you can check out week 1 here) and this week’s prompt of “bold colors and prints” has me dreaming of a resort vacation or lunch in Bal Harbour.

The purple and orange pops of color on this wrap dress immediately caught my eye and I predicted correctly that the silhouette would be flattering on a curvy body. I’m a huge fan of wrap dresses and have featured them on this blog time and time again. I was thrilled to see T.J. Maxx has a large selection and at a steal. I can’t divulge brands or prices but I’ll tell you that this dress cost less than my mascara!

I almost bought the yellow bangle full price 2 weeks ago so when I saw it for half at T.J. Maxx, I had to have it. The cuff and bag are also designer pieces that I purchased 50% off retail.

Do you have an eye for stylish good deals too? Share your T.J. Maxx finds via Twitter, Instagram or Facebook with the designer and price of your score with the hashtag #maxxstyle to be entered to win weekly gift cards in the Maxx Style Contest. Read here for official rules.
