A few weeks ago, I had the pleasure of joining the team at DECLÉOR at a rooftop breakfast atop the Gramercy Park Hotel to unveil two new products in their cult-hit Hydra Floral Collection, made specifically to combat pollution. I sampled product, met editors and bloggers from top fashion and lifestyle publications (hello, Vogue!), had the pleasure of meeting DECLÉOR’s first ever US Brand Ambassador, Mzia Shiman, and even took part in a flower arranging class with Florisity.
I had never used DECLÉOR before but the research shared at the breakfast and the enthusiasm for their products from my tablemates had me more than a little intrigued. The two new products to the line are the Hydra Floral Anti-Pollution Hydrating Active Lotion for Normal to Dry Skin and Hydra Floral Anti-Pollution Hydrating Gel-Cream for Normal to Combination Skin. Generally, I try to avoid using harsh chemicals on my skin as I’m prone to breakouts and I was excited to learn that these products are made with plant-based ingredients found in nature which is amazing.
The line uses Neroli Essential Oil and Moringa Olifera to extract and absorb toxins and pollutants so they don’t settle into your skin and truly make your skin glow. I’ve been using the products, as well as the award-winning Aromessence™ Neroli Hydrating Oil Serum and I am totally smitten. The packaging is luxe and feels great to the touch, the scent is natural and calming and the product itself feels so good on your skin, leaving a subtle glow that is not oily in the least.
For those of you from New York, I’m about to share a little secret. Mzia Shiman, is not only DECLÉOR’s brand ambassador, she is the secret weapon to many celebrities and supermodels. Ever wonder how the Victoria’s Secret Angels look so, well, angelic? Mzia works with them prior to their big show to get their skin in tip-top shape and glowing. I’ve already booked my appointment this month so I’ll let you know how it goes.
