This weekend, staying indoors for most of the time to fight off a nasty cold, I sampled some Elizabeth Grant skin care products.

Some things you should know about me: I have extremely sensitive, combination skin. It's dry here, it's oily there, it is extremely sensitive everywhere!

I have reactions to just about any product. Once, I sampled a moisturizer my mom had laying around the house and ended up with hives all over my face, followed by a weekend of hiding at home taking Benedryl and applying hydrocortizone cream. However, as I am very into anti-aging, I was excited to open up Elizabeth Grant's Black Algae Anti-Aging Mask.

The mask looks dark so I assumed at first glance it would be similar to a charcoal mask (even though the name clearly says algae. Duh.) But, I was pleasantly surprised to note that in fact it was light and more like a gel, and smelled refreshing and clean to boot.

I am even happier to report that I had no allergic reaction; the mask actually seemed to calm my skin instead, and left it moisturized and refreshed. I was so excited about the calming, moisturizing properties that I ended up using the mask again the next day, to enjoy it even more, allergy and redness free.
