Summer's Best Beauty Products 2012

Love beauty? I've searched far and wide for this summer's best beauty products and put them to the Glamamom test. Here are my favorites:

1. Frederic Fekkai Summer Hair After Sun Daily Mask, $25: Deep conditions, protects, and detangles. Smells great and a little bit goes a long way.

2. ARTISTRY Escape to Paradise Tropical Coral Pacific Orchid Lip Gloss Compact, $58.50 for duo: These colors just scream summer and look amazing paired with brights and whites. I first tried them this winter at a preview party and couldn't wait for the warmer weather to wear them. More than a tint but less than a heavy lipstick, the stains are perfect for summer.

3. Gillette Venus and Olay Razor, $9: A solid Gillette razor with an Olay moisturizing strip that makes for an easier shave with less dryness.

4. Tarte Amazonian Clay and Annatto Body Bronzer, $37: I was sold on this body bronzer when I first laid eyes on the gorgeous packaging but it's a great powder shimmer to dust on before a night out too. "Amazon Bronze" is a great match for a medium skin tone.

5. Mary Kay® Sun Care Sunscreen Broad Spectrum SPF 30, $14: Water-resistant and sweat-resistant, a must-wear all summer long.

6. Avon Bug Guard Plus Picaridin, $14-$16 & Anti-Itch Spray, $10: This season I'm being eaten alive! I read that because you have more blood during pregnancy you're more prone? I've tried all-natural repellants but frankly, they don't work well for me. I'm thrilled to discover Avon's Deet-free, Bug Guard Collection available as an aerosol spray, pump spray, and towelettes. In addition to great protection, it has Avon's Skin-So-Soft smell so I don't feel like I'm wearing bug spray. You'll find a cute "Bug Bash" game on Avon's Faceboook page that's sure to entertain your little gamers.

7. Bare Escentuals Faux Tan Sunless Tanner, $22: I just won this at Momtrends' "Refresh Your Look" event this week and tried it immediately since I love a good faux glow and am way too pale for summertime! The smell isn't obnoxious and it actually goes on easier than a spray because I can see it as it's being applied, almost like I'm painting. The brush is a lifesaver since lotions and creams typically discolor the hands disproportionately. Definitely worth a try at this price.

8. V05 Silky Experiences Shea Cashmere Shampoo (brand new), $3.99: I need a lightweight shampoo for summer since the heat makes my hair more oily than usual. I love the light vanilla scent and the price is right (especially since at any point in time, Bubba will dump it all out to make "bubbles." I didn't like the conditioner as much since I prefer a thicker formula.

9. Hawaiian Tropic Shimmer Effect Coconut Papaya After-Sun Moisturizer, $14: The lotion is thick enough to moisturize and protect and the shimmer just enough to catch the sun without it being too...youthful. The smell is out of this world.

10. Olay® Total Effects Tone Correcting UV Moisturizer, $13: My favorite all-in-one moisturizer. Full review here.

11. Tree Hut Almond & Honey Shea Body Butter, $5: The ultimate body butter, year-round. Great for after-sun or just out of the shower. Infused with organic Shea butter, Cocoa butter, real Honey, sweet Almond extracts and Safflower Seed oil. Delicious smell, economical price.

12. Dove Clinical Protection, $6: I'm a sweater and this formula works.

13. Mary Kay® Oil-Free Eye Makeup Remover, $15: Gentle, yet effective. A staple in my makeup bag year-round.

14. Mary Kay® Eye Primer, $12: Waterproof primer is the perfect foundation for summer eyes. If you haven't tried primer, it makes such a difference! Shadow and liner glide on and are easier to blend and smudge.

15. Urban Decay 24/7 Glide-on Eye Pencils, $19 each: I've been wearing "Graffiti," which is an emerald green and it adds just enough unexpected color for summer. As the name suggests, it glides on smoothly and lasts throughout the day without smudging.

16. Mary Kay® Mineral Eye Colors in Peacock and Sterling (brand new), $6.50 each: Oil-absorbing, mineral-based formulas are easy to apply and provide excellent coverage for intense, crease-resistant color in a single swipe.

17. Goody QUIK STYLE Paddle Brush, $11: Super absorbent, microfiber bristles that remove water as you brush. I figured it would rip my hair out but it's surprisingly gentle. I use it straight out of the shower in lieu of a comb.

18. Kiehl's Midnight Recovery Concentrate & Eye, $44/$36 : I cannot wear night cream. I've tried a million different kinds and no matter what, they're too heavy for my oily skin. Given my age (and the condition of my skin), I need to be wearing a night repair so I was elated to discover Midnight Recovery. It's a water-free combination of essential oils and surprisingly light. Recommended for all skin types, it has a lavender smell that reminds me of being at the spa. Pure oil is not recommended around the eye (as it can migrate into the eye), so they also make a thicker, eye-area-specific formula.

19. Bangstyle Sea Salt Mist, $18: Since I have naturally wavy hair, a few spritzes of sea salt helps me avoid the hairdryer and frizzing. Leaves hair feeling like you just left the beach and smells like it too!

20. ghd Purple Peacock, $225: Limited edition Spring / Summer 2012. Ideal for summer travel since its straightens, curls and waves hair. Plus, it comes with a protective cover and has a universal voltage.

21. REMBRANDT® Deeply White Collection including INTENSE STAIN® Stain Dissolving Strips, $10-20: As a coffee and wine drinker, my teeth get dull easily. I'm due for a professional whitening but this collection of toothpastes and dissolving strips is an inexpensive and effective way to touch-up and maintain.

22. Aveeno Positively Radiant Skin Brightening Scrub, $6: Affordable, soap-free. oil-free, hypoallergenic, noncomedogenic. Gentle enough to use every day. A necessity before any faux tanning.

23. Luzern Laboratories Pure Cleansing Créme, $38: Luzern specializes in sensitive skincare and this cleanser lives up to expectations. It's gentle, non-drying, and leaves behind no residue.

24. Sonia Kashuk Cosmetic Cases, $10+: I love the prints on these chic little cosmetic cases and weekenders available at Target.

25. Olay Smooth Finish Facial Hair Removal Duo, $18: For the days you just don't want hot wax poured over your lip. The smell isn't as bad as bleach, I've never had a bad reaction, and it works (obviously temporarily).
