Last week, my Littles and I had the pleasure of attending the 24th Annual Bunny Hop here in Manhattan, hosted by the Society of Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center’s Associates Committee, in partnership with Gucci.
This is the social event of the year for the under-10 set and it’s definitely one not to be missed. Despite the freezing rain, we were transported into a spring-like wonderland the minute we pulled up to the doors. There were over-sized carrots in every corner, gaggles of golden Gucci balloons, crafts by the Craft Studio, cupcake decorating by Tastebuds Kitchen, a petting zoo, Wendy the Pipe Cleaner Lady, hot-dog cart, circus performers, professional photo booth with props by Gucci and of course, lots of nibbles and drinks for the parents too.
The highlight for my kids had to be the Easter Bunny who graciously gave hugs, high-fives, and head pats to the crowds of excited kids throughout the night. For me, the highlight was the professional photo of my Littles, framed in a gorgeous Gucci letter-pressed frame and surprisingly, some great entertaining ideas! Every detail of the evening was carefully planned and my favorite was the flower arrangements that had carrots and asparagus lining the vases. I’ll definitely be trying that when hosting Easter brunch in a few weeks.
It was a great event for a wonderful cause with over $315,000 benefiting the Department of Pediatrics at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center.
