When you're 2.5 years old and your name is "Bubba," Easter means one thing and one thing only...JELLY BEANS!!!

My little jelly bean has been quite fond of "beeeens" since he first pawed the sugary sweet treats at the Easter egg hunt my parents created for him last year and requests them just about every day. Second to jelly beans, are of course cupcakes, and last night the two melded together in perfect harmony at an editor's event hosted by Jelly Belly at Dylan's Candy Bar.

Bubba's reaction to the abundance of candy was priceless and I'm proud to report that despite record sugar consumption, the evening was incident free (other than a dispute over which color subway train to take home):

Authors of Cupcakes, Cookies & Pie, Oh, My!, Alan Richardson and Karen Tack, were on hand to demonstrate their beautiful and easy to execute cupcake design techniques but as you can imagine, Bubba exercised his creativity and did his own thing.

If you're looking for a fun project with the kids, this book is full of quick and easy dessert ideas. I'm not much into baking but don't these just scream Glamamom?! Believe it or not, they're pretty simple to create:

Cupcakes, Cookies & Pies Oh My

We also got a glimpse of Jelly Belly's licensed products like the Scented Squeeze' N Blow Pop-up Bubbles, Apple iPhone case, auto air fresheners, shower gel sets and lotions, fun for any candy lover.

Easter Bunnies, take note!

{I was not compensated for this post. We received a gift bag and complimentary copy of "Cupcakes, Cookies & Pie, Oh, My," for attending the event.}
