Just when I thought we'd seen every type of stroller on the market, gb, a baby brand that prides itself on bringing design elements from the future into the present, introduces Pockit, the world's smallest folding stroller. I was immediately intrigued because we've done quite a bit of traveling lately and still bring a stroller along for Lucas. Lightweight and compact is a must for us when we're on the road. Not to mention all those years I hauled a stroller down subway stairs and up onto the bus. Could the Pockit stroller be a new and better way?
The Pockit arrived in a small square box that's about the actual size of the stroller when folded down and I could immediately see how compact it really is. Unboxing and unfolding the Pockit stroller is very easy since it comes fully assembled. The instructions are a series of photos, which made figuring out how to refold the Pockit a bit difficult for me, but I got the hang of it after a few tries. The stroller is self-standing while folded and has two fold settings: every day and ultracompact.
The Pockit stroller is sleek and modern and I love that it still has a lot of premium features despite its compact size. There is a storage basket below the seat that holds up to 11 pounds, a sunshade, removable and washable seat fabric, locking and swivel front wheels, and a one-touch rear brake.
The Pockit's major selling point is, of course, it's size. At a mere 9.5 pounds, the Pockit fits quite nicely in a tote or travel bag/suitcase and can even fit underneath an airplane seat. In fact, the Pockit holds the Guinness World Record for the world’s smallest folding stroller. After waiting over an hour for our airline to return our stroller on a recent flight, this is a major plus for frequent travelers. The gb
