Today, one of our favorite Glamamoms, music and fashion icon Gwen Stefani, is introducing her gx by Gwen Stefani juniors eyewear collection.

The new co-ed line was inspired by her son, Zuma, who wears glasses himself. They were always looking for really cool, funky, unique glasses for Zuma but weren’t able to find many options for kids/tweens, so Gwen created them herself as a part of her growing gx eyewear collection with TURA. The brand new frames just became available today and are a youthful spin on the adult gx collection, offering teens/tweens fun, modern and colorful eyewear options.

“I am super excited to be designing kid’s eyewear! I would go shopping for glasses with my son and I saw how limited and boring the choices were. Wearing glasses should be a fun and positive experience for everyone – including kids and teens," said Gwen Stefani. We designed the gx junior line with lots of bright colors, patterns, fun accents and grown up, stylish shapes in smaller sizes. Though some kids may have no choice about needing optical, I wanted to create quality glasses that gives them a cool way to express their personal style and feel more confident."

With emphasis on the brands pop-culture roots, the collection uses bold shapes and neon, tribal-like horn patterns, glitter and camouflage prints. I'm dying over the interchangeable emojis! Color pop accents are also used on the inside of the frame or through custom laminated end pieces, contrasting signature temple tip stripes.

Here's a little behind the scenes look with Gwen:
