When we found out we were moving cross country right as my kids would be applying for preschool, I felt completely overwhelmed. I took to Google and dove head first into the mommy boards trying to decipher what schools were contenders. I made lists and spoke to friends of friends but I still ended up feeling like I was entering the process blindfolded. The whole system is just plain tricky and I wish that I had had a tool like Noodle to help me figure out where to start my Littles’ education.
Noodle is a free school database that recently launched a preschool search engine that allows you to select from over 200,000 preschool profiles from across the country. You can prioritize your search results by factors that are most important to you such as location, educational philosophy and whether they have early drop off or even assist with potty training.
I’ve also found many interesting articles about education on Noodle's blog and will most certainly use the resources as I am about to embark on the Kindergarten admissions process this Fall (gulp!). Once you enter your criteria in the search fields, you’ll find many interesting tidbits about your matched schools from overall size, student diversity, and student to teacher ratio. You also have the ability to ask a specific question about the schools.
It’s an overwhelming time for any parent when trying to find the right match for one's child and Noodle helps take the guess work out of the process.
WIN IT! The lovely folks at Noodle are giving one Glamamom reader a $50 Amazon gift card to keep up with summer reading.
