Have you ever had a day with your kids that left you saying I just can’t even? I’m pretty sure everyone has. I know I definitely have. Kids arguing incessantly about who touched who the wrong way. New messes cropping up every single time you clean one. Hearing "Mom. Mom. Mooooooom!" on repeat. Being totally, completely, utterly touched out. Sometimes a mom just really needs a break.

Enter Ashley Gardner, a mom just like us… except she has quadruplets:

The Utah mom, who struggled with infertility for eight years before having her girls, got a little bit of flack once her video went viral with comments like “If you hate them so much why did you have them?” But, judging by the nearly 60,000 Facebook shares her video has gotten in the last three weeks, I think it’s safe to say that most parents can totally relate. Her video sums up motherhood like few things can.

Like Ashley, I have absolutely locked myself away with a treat from time to time (mine is just usually of the chocolate variety). And, like Ashley, my terrible mood and need to hide for a few minutes of peace is almost always shattered by a heart-meltingly adorable interaction with one of my babies. I mean, how can you stay in a bad mood with that teeny little eye peeking in at you and that sweet little voice saying hi?! It’s completely impossible.

Kids are so lucky they’re cute. And so are we.
