7 Lesser-Known Safety Tips for Kids
Close to one million children die of preventable injuries each year throughout the world. In the U.S., unintentional injuries are the number one cause of death to children.
No one wants to read grim statistics and dwell on "what ifs" but education and safer environments make an enormous difference in reducing child injury deaths.
This past Saturday, we attended the second annual Safe Kids Day at Highline Stages to help raise awareness about preventable injuries. Presented by Safe Kids Worldwide, the carnival-themed event featured interactive learning stations designed to reinforce safety tips for kids and VIP guest appearances from Nigel Barker, Alysia Reiner, Genevieve Gorder, and more.
My kids loved every minute of it and consequently, so did I.
