Bacardi Hand Shaken Daiquiri

With Memorial Day just around the corner, so are the daiquiri days (and nights)! After the long, unforgiving winter, I'm looking forward to entertaining out on our terrace, high above the hustle and bustle of the city. We just got a new grill and I have a quick and easy daiquiri recipe, so we're almost ready throw our feet up. Just waiting on that warm, sunny weather!

The daiquiri, as originally invented, was actually hand shaken and never frozen or mixed with fruit. The idea was conceived in the small mining town of Daiquiri, Cuba as a way to cool off under the hot sun. An American mining engineer named Jennings Stockton Cox invented the cocktail to boost his workers' morale during the heat of the summer by combining lime juice, sugar, crushed ice, and Bacardi Carta Blanca to create what he later named the daiquiri.

Continuing the "Party Ready" tips I wrote about last week, Bacardi Hand Shaken Daiquiri is a convenient, ready-to-serve cocktail. It’s a quick and easy solution for entertaining guests and hosting sophisticated summer parties.

For the perfect, refreshing Bacardi Hand Shaken Daiquiri:

Step 1: Moisten the rim of a tall glass then dip in sugar to rim the edges
Step 2: Pour over ice
Step 3: Garnish with a lime wedge
Step 4: Enjoy and drink responsibly!

Bacardi Rediscover

This summer, rediscover the daiquiri. Bacardi Hand Shaken Daiquiri is the perfect addition to any summer get-together — fun, delicious, and ready to pour. Bacardi Hand Shaken Daiquiri is made with Bacardi Superior Rum, tangy lime and sugar. It is a perfectly balanced cocktail that is not too sour and not too sweet.
