CALIA by Carrie Underwood

A sneak peek at Carrie Underwood's new fitness lifestyle apparel, CALIA by Carrie, launching exclusively at DICK's Sporting Goods March 2015.

Carrie Underwood has a few new hits up her sleeve but not of the musical variety. The soon to-be Glamamom is launching CALIA by Carrie, a fitness lifestyle brand which will be available exclusively at DICK's Sporting Goods, March of next year.

Frustrated by the lack of comfortable lifestyle wear made for women by woman, Underwood sought inspiration from strong female role models in her life to create CALIA by Carrie, clothes you can seamlessly wear throughout the day.

"We designed the line in a color palette that's different from what's on the market. Everything can be mixed and matched and is washable, which was very important to me," said Underwood. "I can't just put my name on anything. As someone who is passionate about health and fitness, I’m excited to offer women a wardrobe that will move with them and encourage them to stay the path of leading an active lifestyle.”

Last week I got a sneak peek of the line at a presentation given by Underwood herself and DICK'S Sporting Goods' Alycia Scott. Underwood's signature "girly girl style" is clearly represented from strappy back tops to stretchy floral leggings to adjustable short shorts. It's true that this color palette isn't typical of fitness apparel giving it a more lifestyle vibe and the calm, pastel pink and floral patterns are feminine yet mature.

To top if off, (literally) the line also features rosegold beaded headbands to compliment the tops and bottoms. "I'm a southern girl. I had to get my sparkle in there!" Underwood joked.

While she's not quite a mom yet, Underwood is certainly thinking like one. Activewear is an essential part of my daily wardrobe and of course I want to look and feel good in it. Motivation comes in all forms and sometimes a cute outfit is just what you need! I can't wait to get my hands on (and body in) CALIA by Carrie Underwood.
