My Christmas tree and the decorations that are sprinkled all over our house definitely look like they belong to a family. There are large patches of our tree that are completely bare and other areas that are crammed with homemade ornaments and my girls’ favorite characters. The rest of our house is pretty much the same. And I’m ok with that. It’s a little snapshot of what our life is really like and I know this time when they’re so little is fleeting.
Still, I sometimes catch myself getting sucked down the Pinterest rabbit hole of picture perfect holiday homes and long for the type of beauty my kids would quickly (although accidentally) destroy. Like today. Today, I’m dreaming of glam Christmas decor. I know I’m not going to have a perfectly coordinated holiday house and I’m truly ok with that, but a girl can daydream, right?
And maybe, maybe I can use all of this white and gold inspiration as a jumping off point for something a bit more kid- friendly.
