How to Practice Gratitude as a Busy Mom - Glamamom
In the chaos and mess of everyday life and the upcoming holidays, don’t forget about all the things you have to be grateful for. Here are some of the things I’m grateful for as a busy mom.

Being a mom is not all clean houses and hot dinners on the table. There are the proud parent moments, family dinners at the table, and even fun outings with my kids. What you don’t always get to see is the behind the scenes part. Those are the moments no one talks about or takes photos of. I’m talking about the tantrums, tears, laundry all over the house, spills on the table, wanting to lose your mind moments. One day, those tantrum throwing children are going to be moms and dads of their own, and they won’t need me as often as they do now. For all those busy moms out there who are feeling overwhelmed, this is my article to you. A word on gratitude for the busy moms.

In the chaos and mess of everyday life, don’t forget about all the things you have to be grateful for. Here are some of the things I’m grateful for as a busy mom.

I’m grateful for a roof over my head

I know there are so many mothers out there who would give anything to have a roof over their heads, even if it is a messy one. Take a moment today and be thankful for the four walls of your home. Remind yourself that even though it may not be perfect, it is a place you get to call home.

I am grateful for the food on our table

I’m fortunate enough not to wonder where my next meal will come from, and we always have an abundance of food in our home. I am grateful for the ability to provide warm home cooked meals for my family. I’m also thankful for the delivery driver on night’s where I cannot make something at home, and that I can have that option.

I am grateful for my kids

If there were no kids, I would not be a crazy overworked mom. If I didn’t have kids, my nights would be spent relaxing not cleaning up after them. If I didn’t have kids, I would lose my purpose as a mom. I am grateful for these little blessings in my life, and that I have them in my life.

I am grateful for my husband

I am thankful to have such a fantastic husband. Even though he might not know how to do laundry, he is a blessing to our home. I am grateful for the chance to take a shower or use the bathroom because he can watch the kids for a few minutes.

I am grateful for being a mom

I know there are so many women out there who give nothing more than to have my messy kitchen, my tantrum-throwing kids, and my crazy busy life. I am thankful for the blessings I call my children. I am grateful to have them in my life, and that someone calls me mom.

While we may feel like we have nothing but chaos in our lives, don't forget to be grateful. Take a moment to read these little reminders and know that you have many things to be grateful for, and so much to be thankful for.
