I spent the afternoon at ABC studios for a fitting with my friends Yajaira, Carrie, and Marie for a T.J.Maxx/Marshalls, "designer duds for less" segment that we're filming for The View this Thursday. I knew it was going to be an exciting afternoon when Elisabeth Hasselbeck's driver picked me up and assumed I was accompanying her to a QVC shoot in Pennsylvania. As much as I'd love the one-on-one time with Ms. Hasselbeck, something tells me a 2.5-hour drive isn't nearly enough time to talk some sense into her ;)
Stylist Robbin Ciccio, a 30-year veteran, geniously picked 4 or 5 looks for us each to try on. I was pleasantly surprised by the caliber of brands that T.J.Maxx and Marshalls carry. Among others, we tried pieces from Alice & Olivia, BCBG, Halston, Michael Kors, Tahari, Vince, and Walter. I won't give away our final looks but here are some shots from the fitting:
I was so in love with these Delman suede, studded heels that I had to have them even though they weren't part of my final look ($69.99). The contrast between the studs and the bows is just too good:
Tune into The View this Friday at 11 a.m. EST on ABC to see which looks were chosen. Also, be sure to check out Glamamom for a special giveaway!
