The weather in New York has been all over the place this month. Typical for Fall I suppose but with an Indian Summer it ranges anywhere from 80+ degrees and sunny to low 50's and raining. So I've had no problem fitting the pair of Earthkeepers™ Rudston Waterproof Pull-On Boots I was sent for review into my wardrobe.
If you're not familiar with Earthkeepers™ products, they're Timberland's line of footwear comprised of the most eco-friendly materials in fashion: recycled plastic bottles, repurposed tires, and organic cotton.
It's great to see a company's environmental values in action but can a boot made of eco-friendly materials still be fashionable?
When I opened the package, I was pleasantly surprised to find this cute pair of pull-on boots. I have a more preppy pair of rain boots but they're not the right fit for all outfits and I love my heels so Rudston's are a great addition.
They come in several other colors including dark brown and artisan gold that don't even look like they're waterproof, no less eco-friendly and I love that they have a cowgirl vibe to them. I've been wearing them with jeans and plaid button downs and while they're casual, they're still polished.
The materials are breathable and I didn't have to break them in at all but they run small. I'm typically a 7.5 so I requested an 8 and they're still snug. If you like to wear thick socks with your boots, I recommend ordering a full size up.
I also just noticed that Timberland is having a 20% off sale on women's footwear and apparel that ends today so if you love them too, hurry and you'll snag a pair at a discount.
