Nike Training Club App

I'm pumped to be participating in a fitness program with Nike Women's Training Club. You can join me too!

Nike Training Club is a full-body training app for the iPhone/iTouch/iPad designed to help people of all fitness levels build on the fundamentals of strength, cardio, interval, and core training.

Between work, blogging, Bubba, and cocktails, I haven't had much time for myself lately and working out and eating well are usually the first things to go. Nike Training Club is like having a personal trainer, except it's FREE.

Ever have the feeling that you just don't know what exercises to do? The Nike Training Club app allows you to choose a goal/workout and shows you step-by-step, with photos, video, and audio what to do and for how long. There are 60 custom-built workouts to choose from.

The app saves all of your workouts so you can see your progress and provides additional motivation in the form of "rewards," similar to foursquare "badges."

If for example I choose the goal "Get Lean," which is high interval cardio drills to slim down, and I have 30 minutes to work out, the app will take me through a routine that includes a light jog, straight leg kicks, walking lunges, and so on. You can even set the workout to music.

Pretty cool huh?

I'll be updating Glamamom each week for the next month with my progress and will be announcing a sweepstakes next week so check back for a chance to win cool prizes.

What do you think? Are you with me? I promise you this app is super user-friendly and easy to navigate. Getting started? That's up to you though.
