I know it's just gotten cold enough to start wearing boots and blazers but Holiday and Spring previews have taken New York by storm this month.

One of my favorites was Tadashi Shoji. I'm a huge fan of his dresses because they're truly made for women of all shapes and sizes (including plus-size) and affordable too. I was so comfortable in this dress I recently wore to a cousin's wedding.

Shoji established his own design house almost thirty years ago after contemplating the lack of contemporary formal-wear options for women. His dresses and bridal gowns can now be found in over 4,000 stores.

For Spring, the collection is feminine and elegant, fit for any garden party or special occasion. The beaded dresses have me swooning. And while I didn't focus much on the wedding gowns, if you're in the market, I think they're one of the best kept secrets in terms of quality and affordability.
