September is Childhood Cancer Awareness month and A Free Bird, a non-profit arts organization dedicated to helping young people affected by cancer fight their disease through the therapeutic benefits of the arts, is hosting its first Arts Fair at Hartley House (413 West 46th Street, New York, NY 10036) on September 17, 2015 from 4:00 pm - 8:00 pm. Admission is free and Arts Fair is the only New York City-based Childhood Cancer Awareness event.
The fair will showcase different art booths like painting and face painting, a photo booth, arts and crafts, and knitting, and a variety of vendors from vegan foods and beverages to jewelry and clothing.
Erica Nadera, former Miss Philippines America and a cast member of the Broadway National Tour of Miss Saigon, will be performing alongside alongside Daniela, a nine-year-old girl with T-Cell lymphoma, who will be playing the guitar. Ryan Reyes, who in remission from Non-Hodgkins Lymphoma, will be performing graffiti with famed graffiti artist Ramiro Davaro-Comas.
