The New York Botanical Garden Holiday Train Show quickly became a tradition for us. We had incredible experiences in the past and I found myself really looking forward to it this year. December was pure insanity with the move and hosting Christmas Eve so we didn't make it to the Bronx until earlier this month. I thought January would be an opportune time to attend but apparently we weren't the only ones who were too busy last year because the Conservatory was PACKED. We'd bought tickets to All Aboard with Thomas & Friends figuring we would pop by the train exhibit quickly before or after but when we arrived and were diverted to a Fordham parking lot across the street, I knew it was going to be a zoo. Sebastian was enthralled per usual and that's really all the matters but with the hoards of people and no stroller rule, it was very difficult for me to personally have a good time and take photographs. The cafe was closed for renovation so we headed to Benihana for dinner afterwards, as we suburbanites do, and the kids got their first taste of hibachi dining. When I asked Sebastian the favorite part of his day I figured he would say Benihaha but he stood by the train show which means we will certainly be back next year.
