Manhattan's newest oasis, and one of the most unique vantage points anywhere in the city, is the High Line, a public park resting atop an abandoned elevated railway that operated on the west side from 1934 to 1980.
Its recently unveiled Section 2 is a stone's throw from our apartment and strolling down its narrow walkway, high above the swirling chaos, I can easily forget about life for awhile (except when I pass Guardian Angel Church where Leo and were married). I'm so smitten, I even named my marketing business after it.
You can't walk 5 feet without stumbling upon a grassy patch, bench or reading nook, making the High Line our home base for the summer.
