One of my all-time favorite Real Housewives, Jill Zarin, hosted a ladies luncheon this afternoon benefiting the Samuel Waxman Cancer Research Foundation. I attended with my friend Maggie Keats of Douglas Elliman (who sold us our house), one of the co-sponsors of the event alongside Jill and mophie. I'd been dying to wear this gorgeous dress from Dobbin Clothing and a summer day party was the perfect occasion.
Dobbin is a new women's wear collection sold exclusively via e-commerce. As they describe themselves, fit is first and foremost, and I can attest to that. This dress fits like a glove and made me feel like a million bucks. The material is nice and thick so it hid my bumps and curves but it's stretchy and really comfortable at the same time. Dobbin apparently sources high-end fabrics from the same European mills as luxury fashion brands and produces alongside them in the exact same New York factories but by selling directly online they don't have the same expensive overhead, thus they can sell the entire line for under $200. Major find!
On the party front, Jill was a super gracious hostess welcoming guests and making sure everyone was having a good time. It was lovely afternoon for a great cause complete with beauty treatments and trunk shows. A bunch of other Bravo stars were in attendance too but I'm the worst at asking people for photos. I'm always too busy gabbing (and drinking). Mode Monday I made time for though.
