Given that I spend most afternoons in the playground chasing after my littles, I am constantly on the hunt for shoes for them and me that are cute, comfortable and don’t cost a fortune. Our shoes are often filled with sand before the day is done and they take a beating walking the many miles to and from school, park, and home.
On my recent spree at Payless, I found playground shoes for the whole family that are perfect, if I do say so myself. My son is into watching the big kids cruise around on their skateboards and these mini skater shoes were everything his little four-year-old self could desire. My daughter loves everything mommy does so these tiny black boots are as New York as they come. I am most impressed however with the wedge booties that I found that are super comfortable and very on-trend. My shoes are made out of fabric instead of leather which allows for easy care, (Have you ever had yogurt spilled on suede boots before? I have and it’s not pretty), but you’d never realize they weren’t leather.
I could have chosen to get several pairs in all the color options available given how affordable these finds were and I love that I won’t feel guilty once they’ve passed their prime when the season is over. You can find all sorts of playground kicks on the Payless on Pinterest.
