Action at The Scoop: CAbi Fall 2011 Collection

Prior to dancing with trees, I was boogying down with CAbi girls at "The Scoop" in Newport Beach. Along with 2 other fabulous bloggers, Naina from Style'N and Christina from 40:20 Vision, I was invited to join 3,000 of CAbi's passionate consultants for their semi-annual training and unveiling of the highly anticipated Fall '11 Collection.

If you're not familiar with CAbi, it's a direct sales/personal shopping experience (think lia sophia, Tupperware, Pampered Chef...) that sells high-quality, women's fashions throughout the country. With 25 years experience selling designer collections in Nordstrom and other upscale department stores and specialty boutiques, CAbi founder Carol Anderson decided to bring her designs directly to the consumer through intimate house parties.

The camaraderie and excitement among the consultants at The Scoop was palpable. When we arrived at the convention center, it felt more like a concert than a fashion show. The inspiration for the Fall '11 Collection is a group of iconic movies and their glam starlets, resulting in a diverse, luxe line, that provides a little something for everyone. Women of varying ages, sizes, and ethnicity strutted their stuff to a toe-tapping pop soundtrack showcasing the themes:

It was inspiring to see how proud and empowered the consultants are working for a company they believe in and a business model that allows them to make money while maintaining flexibility, something I'm personally very passionate about. Not only does CAbi provide flexibility but also support. A good deal of time at The Scoop was devoted to helping consultants understand the new line, its inspiration, fabrics, current fashion trends, and how to style the clothes. It was really fun for me to get an inside look into this creative process as well.

Fitting with the philosophy of empowerment and support, CAbi's charitable arm, The Heart of CAbi Foundation, has provided over 25 million dollars of CAbi clothing and hundreds of thousands of dollars to domestic and international non-profit organizations dedicated to impacting women in need.

And well, the clothes are just cute. I got totally swept up in the excitement. How easily could you fit some of these into your wardrobe?

What do you think? CAbi party at my place?
